Reconnecting to Desire

An online gathering for mothers/parents to ask questions and talk openly about intimacy, pleasure, and connection in the real world of parenting.

November 5  |  7:30-8:45 pm PDT  Live via Zoom

truth Be Told

Your desire won't come back if you keep ignoring it.

Intimacy can feel complicated for moms.

Desire changes, our bodies feel different, and connecting with a partner intimately can bring up a lot.

We could be talking about this more, so I’m hosting an online meetup where we can explore and talk about intimacy and pleasure as parents.

All mothers and non-binary birth parents with children of any age are welcome.

What to expect DURING THE CALL

After you sign up, you’ll find a short form on the thank-you page and in your Zoom access email. This form is an opportunity to submit questions or discussion topics in advance — and you’re welcome to do so anonymously.

01

We’ll start the call with a brief grounding meditation to help us transition from our busy day and settle in.

02

Britt will then kick-off the conversation, bringing in questions and topics from the forms and sharing insights from her experience as a mom and as a birth and sex educator.

03

Participants are encouraged to share if they feel comfortable, but there’s no pressure to do so — you’re invited to simply listen and take in what feels supportive.

04

There will also be brief 1:1 breakout rooms, where you’ll have a chance to connect and share with another mom/parent. Simply sharing out loud can often lead to powerful “ah-ha” moments.

05

During the second half of our conversation, we’ll explore practical resources and ideas for nurturing connection, pleasure, and communication, both with yourself and with your partner.

06

After the call, you’ll receive a follow-up email with a list of the shared resources, along with any helpful links or suggestions mentioned during our time together.

The Inspiration Behind This Gathering

As a doula, birth and sex educator, and pleasure coach with over 25 years of experience, I’ve witnessed many shifts in how we talk about women’s bodies, sexuality, and wellbeing. Conversations around topics like perimenopause and postpartum recovery have thankfully become more normalized, but intimacy and desire, and how much they change after becoming a parent, still feel like conversations we’re reluctant to bring to the table.

In my work with mothers and parents, I see how often this part of life is quietly avoided, even though it deeply impacts our relationships, self-esteem, and overall wellbeing. Yet when we allow ourselves to get curious and explore what intimacy means now, I’ve seen women and couples rediscover closeness, confidence, and a deeper sense of joy in their relationships.

This gathering grew out of my desire to create that kind of space: one where we can talk honestly about these changes, share our questions and experiences, and learn from one another.

I want to hear what’s coming up for people, share what I’ve learned from years of supporting women and non-binary parents, and see what unfolds when we start bringing this conversation into the light together.

YOUR HOSTESS

Britt Fohrman

For over 25 years, Britt has dedicated her life to supporting mothers/parents as a pleasure, grief and embodiment coach, birth doula, yoga teacher and photographer.

Her practice is focused on holding space for women standing at the threshold of life’s most profound transitions: becoming a mother/parent, healing from illness, injury or loss, stepping into sexual power and opening to new beginnings.

She is a widow and single mother who lives with abundant aliveness by the beach in SF with her daughter, Isadore Hawk.

Sexual aliveness and motherhood can go together.
Sometimes you just need a little help creating a bridge.
Join a community of mothers/parents exploring how.
